Dear Readers,

It has been a hectic season for Roof & Facade Pte Ltd. We have achieved several firsts in our efforts to bring greater value to all our stakeholders, especially our readers in the Building and Construction Industry.
As a result of our re-branding exercise, we have changed our brand name and logo to 'R&F', which stands for Roof & Facade in short. We also replaced our company's name from 'Technology Communications Pte Ltd' to 'Roof & Facade Pte Ltd'. The announcement was made through our Letter of Notification on 1 Nov 2007. The industry can now remember us better with the company's name similar to our flagship magazine title, 'Roof & Facade Asia'.
Roof & Facade is proud to share the following milestones with our esteemed readers:

Debut of Infrastructure & Construction Asia (ICA)

ICA was first published and presented to our target audience in Mar 2007. Its popularity amongst vendors and readers was so encouraging that we became one of the appointed media sponsors for Enviro Asia 2007, an exhibition cum conferences and forums showcasing latest trends and innovations relating to Waste, Water, Air, and Environment developments with the aim of balancing environmental sustainability and growth. The trade show will be held from 27 November till 30 November 2007 at Suntec Singapore.

The themes presented by Enviro Asia 2007 are very much aligned with the themes and focus of our new magazine, which allows our editorial to feature a Special Show Preview with the enthusiastic support of our sponsors. Overhaul of Roof & Facade Asia (RFA)

Starting from Volume 4 Number 10 (Oct Issue 2007), RFA will deliver theme-focussed issues in select countries of Asia. Readers can expect to glean useful information about aspects of major building installations. We give a sneak preview here:

  • November 2007 – Railway Stations
  • December 2007 – Sports Complexes
  • February 2008 – Green Buildings
  • March 2008 – Hospitals/Healthcare Institutions
  • April 2008 – Airports
We hope to enhance the value to our readers by allowing them to evaluate building and construction variations of specific buildings throughout Asia. To read more about our themes and editorial calendar, download the RFA Media Kit

New Editorial Team

The editor of both magazines, Roof & Facade Asia and Infrastructure & Construction Asia, is Mr Saravanan Abhirami, who joined us since Aug 2007. Working alongside with his assistant editor, Ms Julie Chong, both writers have contributed to the revamp of the editorial calendar and content. R&F Forum

On 19 Sept 2007, Roof & Facade Pte Ltd officially conducted our first conference at Malbex 2007 together with our co-organiser Pusat Tenaga Malaysia (PTM). Forming a strategic alliance with Reed Exhibitions as their conference partner, R&F extended its role as The Voice For Sustainability by delivering a dedicated session on “PHOTOVOLTAIC TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”.
Under the title “Sustainable Development for Growth”, our inaugural conference took off with resounding success and accolades with the support of PTM and MBIPV Project, who organised the Expert Panel Discussion on Photovoltaic (PV).
