Indonesia - Construction of a new bus terminal near Puri Beta housing complex in Tangerang is expected to start in 2012.

Tangerang mayor Wahidin Halim has revealed that the municipality administration had just completed bus terminal's design and reasserted the project would go ahead despite protests from the housing complex’s residents.

The new terminal – located some three kilometres from Cileduk - is intended to be a solution to overcome the chronic traffic congestion heading to and from Cileduk.

The existing bus terminal, located on Jl. Raden Patah in Cileduk, is prone to land dispute as it was built on land belonging to local community members.
